Assembly: symmetry, structure, and the space between fragments
Studio Collection 001: Assembly is the studio’s first collection, and it starts with a question: how do separate pieces come together to form something new?
Assembly explores symmetry and architectural form — the quiet tension and balance in the relationships between fragmented elements. Fragments that once stood alone are arranged, mirrored, and joined until a new whole emerges. The work draws on the studio’s long practice of digital collage: cutting, layering, and reassembling imagery until unexpected narratives surface.
The roots run deep. Assembly carries the spirit of Surrealism and Dada — movements that broke images apart to free the imagination. It borrows from Deconstructivism’s love of fragmented, reassembled form, and from Fluxus, which blurred the line between art and everyday life. Assembly sits in that lineage: art that refuses to stay in one category.
From digital collage to wearable art
What begins as digital collage doesn’t stay on the screen. The Assembly works move from the digital canvas into wearable pieces and objects for everyday life — prints that bring the composition to your wall, pins that carry a fragment of the dream, and an oversized T-shirt that turns the artwork into something you wear.
